Easy Tigerz is a guitar and double bass songwriting duo, signed to Western Star the world's coolest rockabilly label! The band is gaining a growing reputation for its live shows as a trio performing original songs and classic fifties and sixties covers, with harmony vocals, an authentic vintage sound and electrifying guitar riffs mixing up swing, rockabilly, blues and sixties rock 'n' roll.
The Easy Tigerz debut album was released in August 2012 by Western Star. Recorded over three sessions with the legendry Alan Wilson at Western Star Studios near Bath, the album features 15 original tracks ranging from Rockabilly, through 60's Nashville, to US West Coast Surf & Garage - or as Western Star put it "This is a cool album and has more than a touch of that 60's B-movie feel about it. "

EASY TIGERZ LINE UP
Easy Tigerz feature Jason Downes on bass and vocals, Curtis Cline on guitar and vocals, and Chris Barnes on Drums. In his youth, Curtis performed as a country and rockabilly inspired singer songwriter at venues such as the Mean Fiddler, Ronnie Scotts, and Borderline, and supported artists such as Jools Holland. Now living in Wales, Curtis Cline is rapidly renewing his reputation as an expressive rock 'n' roll guitarist, influenced by the likes of BB King, Chuck Berry, Brian Setzer and Cliff Gallup. In 2012, Curtis teamed up with Jason Downes to form the Easy Tigerz, who quickly secured a record contract with Western Star. Jason is an experienced and versatile musician providing guitar, double-bass, vocals and drums on the album. Chris Barnes joined the band on drums at the end of 2012, and the trio now has a busy schedule of live dates lined up for the year ahead.

Check out our Easy Tigerz Live page for the latest gig dates. In May 2013 Easy Tigerz set off on their May Mayhem Mini-Tour of Wales with dates in Tenby, Narberth, Newcastle Emlyn, Cardiff and Brecon.
As well as writing and performing original material, Easy Tigerz also regularly perform covers sets of classic 50s and 60s songs by artists such as Eddie Cochran, Gene Vincent, Buddy Holly, Elvis, Carl Perkins, Johnny Burnette, etc; early numbers by the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Kinks, Beach Boys, and Monkees as well as more recent covers by artists such as the Stray Cats, Black Keys, Chris Isaak, Paloma Faith and Imelda May.
The set can be can easily be tailored for your event, and the Tigerz regularly play at rock 'n' roll nights, anniversary parties, and vintage-inspired events and weddings. The Easy Tigerz also offers a more rootsy semi-acoustic set as a duo (upright bass/guitar) or trio for smaller venues (cafes and bars), jazz clubs, roots music festivals, etc..
